October Birthstone: Yellow Opal Braclet

£29.99

Opals are the beautiful birthstone of October. While 'precious' opals, with the delicate dance of rainbow across the face, are the most valuable kind of opal, these gemstones can also come in a multitude of translucent colours.

And of these? Yellow is the rarest and, arguably, the most desirable.

This beautiful opal bracelet is made using AAA-quality yellow opal gemstones, checked and authenticated by our founder, gemmologist and hearth witch Lucinda.

The gems are strung on vegan silk and fixed with gold-filled fastings, for maximum beauty and durability.

Yellow opal is one of October's birthstones, but also a stone said to impart mystery and charisma to its wearer -- fitting, given that science didn't know how opal even formed until the late 1960s. (The answer? Silica spheres settle very slowly in bodies of water over years and years.)

This is a beautiful gift for October babies. But also a gorgeous reminder of the mystery and allure we all possess. (And between you and me? Opal is said to be a great stone for confidence in the bedroom.)

OUR PROMISES

Genuine, Gemmologist-Approved Gemstones

Our founder, Lucinda, is a graduate of the Gemmological Institute of Great Britain -- one of the most prestigious gemmology institutions in the world. And she evaluates every gemstones -- down to the last bead -- for authenticity. We try to only work with gemstones which are natural and untreated. Where we depart from this ideal? We'll always make it clear.

Historically Accurate Cunning Magic

Our mothers taught us well: all that goes comes back times three, onto thee and also me. So here at Cunningfolk, we only practice supportive, inclusive and right-hand witchery. Using spells, herbcraft and rituals. Which have been passed down through our respective cultures for centuries. (And been documented by academic resources.) Want to hex your ex? He probably deserves it. But we won't do it. For your sake and ours.

Genuine Trust and Support

The gemstones we use have travelled across the world and down the centuries to meet you. As they pass through our hands (and every bead is hand-strung and personally enchanted), we'll treat them with respect and love -- and hope you'll do the same. But if you have any questions or concerns (or just want to chat about the best gemstone for you), we're always here to help.
