December Birthstone: Turquoise Bracelet
Born in December? Turquoise is the stone to celebrate your birth. And this beautiful bracelet, made with delicate stones checked and authenticated by Cunningfolk's founder and resident gemmologist Lucinda, is a vibrant celebration of your being.
Turquoise is synonymous with the southwest of the United States. But these beautiful stones were mined in Mexico, one of Lucinda's favourite countries, and where they've been highly prized for centuries. (The Mayans and Aztecs both used turquoise in their jewellery and artwork for centuries.)
These days, turquoise is a hugely popular stone. Beleived to be protective, it's said to protect the person wearing it while they're travelling and keep them safe from accidents. Others believe it can make the wearer more creative, or able to express themselves. Others give it as a gift to cement genuine, deep friendships.
A beautiful stone, but a soft one -- these turquoise beads have been stabilised, a very common treatment that makes them better able to withstand the rigours of everyday wear. Even so, treat your turquoise with care and consideration, especially in high traffic areas like your wrist. If you seek this stone's protection, you must protect it in turn.

OUR PROMISES
Genuine, Gemmologist-Approved Gemstones
Our founder, Lucinda, is a graduate of the Gemmological Institute of Great Britain -- one of the most prestigious gemmology institutions in the world. And she evaluates every gemstones -- down to the last bead -- for authenticity. We try to only work with gemstones which are natural and untreated. Where we depart from this ideal? We'll always make it clear.
Historically Accurate Cunning Magic
Our mothers taught us well: all that goes comes back times three, onto thee and also me. So here at Cunningfolk, we only practice supportive, inclusive and right-hand witchery. Using spells, herbcraft and rituals. Which have been passed down through our respective cultures for centuries. (And been documented by academic resources.) Want to hex your ex? He probably deserves it. But we won't do it. For your sake and ours.
Genuine Trust and Support
The gemstones we use have travelled across the world and down the centuries to meet you. As they pass through our hands (and every bead is hand-strung and personally enchanted), we'll treat them with respect and love -- and hope you'll do the same. But if you have any questions or concerns (or just want to chat about the best gemstone for you), we're always here to help.
